You already know how to read a photograph — you just learned it from a glass. A frame, like a wine, announces itself before you get close: light on the nose, mood in the air. And every real photograph has a finish, the part that stays with you after you have walked away.

That is why every photograph here is poured beside a wine. Not as a gimmick, and not as a label — as a second way of tasting the same moment. The frame gives you the place; the pairing gives you its temperature, its weight, its length on the memory. A portrait in low light drinks like a Left Bank Bordeaux. A noon-bright terrace pours like the Chiaretto on its tables.
